What's the Big Idea? Robert Spencer, retied landscape designer and Waterford Library Trustee, will build upon concepts in Julie Messervey's
best selling book "The Inward Garden" explaining the importance of improving your own property or even our own Waterford Library lot.
The Sheena Fraser Garden Lectures are supported by an endowment created by family and friends after her untimely death. A native of England, Fraser loved plants and her own formal garden across the street from the library. In addition to this annual lecture, books on gardening and related topics are added to the Fraser Gardening Collection in her memory. This special collection now has over 150 books on formal, informal, and historic landscaping, vegetables, organics, annuals, perennials, wild flowers, and practical advice for both master and beginner gardeners.
